On Friday August 27, 2021, we will have a back to school meet and greet from 12pm to 2pm.

8th Grade Virtual Meeting

On Friday, August 20th, 2021 @ 10 am, Ms.Brown, Ms. Rhodes and Mr. Harris will be hosting a virtual workshop for students transitioning to 8th grade.

6th Grade Virtual Meeting

On Friday, August 20th, 2021 @ 10 am, Ms. Moody and Mr. McGuire will be hosting a virtual transition day workshop for all incoming 6th grade students.

Summer Enrollment and Registration information for NEW Longhorns. August 12th-27th

REGISTRATION AND ENROLLMENT INFO Joseph Lovett Elementary School is a neighborhood school. All families living within our attendance boundaries may enroll immediately at any grade level K-8. Please check the CPS school locator to ensure you live within the Lovett attendance boundaries. Summer Registration and Enrollment for New Longhorn Scholars are August 12th -27th. 2021-2022 Enrollment Procedures Prekindergarten Enrollment Procedures To enroll in Prekindergarten, all families apply through Chicago Early Learning process and should choose Lovett as their first school choice. Lovett has PreK classes for students who are 4-year olds on or before September 1st, 2021. After applying for the program, a member of the Longhorn team will reach out to you to begin enrollment process if you have been assigned to Lovett. Kindergarten-8th grade Enrollment Process To facilitate a safe and efficient enrollment process, please use the following directions: Step 1: Contact the school via phone (773.534.3130) or email (josephlovettelem@gmail.com) to schedule your contactless enrollment appointment beginning August 12th. Step 2: Complete registration forms and bring a scanned copy of the required documents listed below to your appointment along with the following ● Child’s Birth Certificate or passport ●Two proofs of current address (current utility bill, or other) ● Parent/Guardian Driver’s license or State ID Step 3: Once documents have been received and verified, you will be given the opportunity to purchase school shirts from Ms. Santiago. Step 4: Ensure that your child receives the necessary doctor's visits to complete medical forms. Such as: ❏ Proof of physical examination(1st time attending an Illinois school, Kdg, 1st and 6th graders ❏ Proof of immunizations ❏ Proof of dental examination (K, 2nd and 6th grade)

To achieve our vision, our mission at Joseph Lovett Elementary is to engage our students in a personalized Learning environment that is learner led, learner focused, and learner paced. We will help students develop a lifetime love for learning in our technologically integrated, anytime-anywhere project-based learning curriculum, where students are in the driver's seat of their own learning.
