Welcome Back!

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome back to all of our new and returning families! To those that are not familiar with me, I am Marlowe Soriano and I am the Physical Education teacher.  This is my 5th year teaching at Lovett (6th if you include my student teaching year).

I am extremely excited to reconnect with all the families of Lovett! Though this year will look a little different as we are removed from the gymnasium setting, I look forward to using what we learned from last school year’s remote learning opportunity to create a great beginning this year.  

I will be utilizing Google Classroom for all of our virtual physical education classes and assignments.  The best way to access your child’s PE Google Classroom will be from my teacher page on the Lovett Website.  Here you will also find announcements as well as updates on what other classes are doing.  Please ensure that you are using your child’s CPS email when using Google Classroom as CPS’ privacy policy is restricted for those emails only.  

During our live virtual PE classes, students will be exercising and participating in other activities which means they will need adequate space to move around. I am aware of the challenges this may provide, so please reach out to me so we can collaboratively come up with a solution.  

I am ALWAYS open to communication and will have office hours from 9:00-10:45 AM Monday through Friday.  If you are not able to contact me then, send an email, text, or leave a voicemail and I will reach back out to you as soon as I can.  Below is my contact information and I look forward to a great 2020-2021 school year!
