Ms. Melissa Moody » Welcome

Welcome

Hello Longhorn Parents and Scholars!  Welcome to the 2021-22 school year at Joseph Lovett, “where our students love it at Lovett!  I am Ms. Moody, your child’s Math and Science (STEM) teacher.  I am entering my 9th year of teaching here at Joseph Lovett Elementary and my 20th year of teaching with CPS.  I look forward to seeing my new scholars in person and working with you to build collaborative relationships so we can have an exciting and productive year!

Although we are in person this year, we will still be using the Google Classroom to post and receive assignments, and communicate back and forth using CPS email and google chat, and all other technology we will be using.  The transition to middle school will be new, so during the first couple of weeks of school, I will make sure to help students get acclimated with routines and their schedule.  My expectations are that students will attend school every day, on time, in their Lovett uniform prepared to give their very best effort.  We will also be following CPS guidelines and protocols to keep our students and staff safe!

I look forward to working with you as we teach your child how to succeed both academically and socially.  If there is anything I need to know about your child, please feel free to contact me via email at [email protected].

Let’s make it a great school year!
